Smith-McDowell House Museum is seeking volunteers. Interested community members of all ages and backgrounds who are interested in history, marketing, and working with the public should contact the museum. Volunteers are needed for both weekdays and weekends. Interested community members can learn about volunteer opportunities at the Museum, including special events such as the Museum’s acclaimed Victorian Christmas Celebration. There is no minimum time requirement for volunteering, but the Museum requests that volunteers give advanced notice for times they plan to come in to help.
Smith-McDowell House Museum is a restored circa 1840 mansion and local history museum. The Museum is located at 283 Victoria Road on the campus of Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in Asheville. Hours of operation are Thursday through Saturday 10:00am to 4:00pm.
