Organicfest Returns to Asheville for 10th Year on September 11, Asheville.com is a Proud Sponsor!


Organicfest, one of the nation's largest regional organic festival, will celebrate National Organic Harvest month on Saturday, September 11th in Pack Square Park in downtown Asheville, North Carolina. Join the celebration of everything organic and green, now in its 10th year, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Organicfest is a special environmental project of the Imagine Center, a local non-profit dedicated to promoting organics through educational and fun events. The Organicfest is co-sponsored by an array of local, regional and national businesses which promote healthy, organic foods, organic and green products and sustainable business practices. Enjoy a fun filled day of organic food and beverages, live music, drawings for organic goods and gift certificates, organic and green vendors, natural arts and crafts. Environmental organizations will share information and provide help with organic living, organic gardening, organic farming and earth-friendly living. Fun activities for kids including the Organicfest Kids Garden Parade at 1 p.m.

The Organicfest is presented in September to celebrate National Organic Harvest Month. The organic industry is one of the fastest growing, consumer driven industries in the United States. This special event, (co-sponsored local and national businesses and organizations) is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate, highlight and promote the pure, organic food and products available in our community, create a connection to the people who grow and supply organic, and find out why organic is good for people and the planet.
