Charlotte Street Computers is proudly sponsoring - for its second year - a visionary fundraising program which benefits local non-profits. CSC has purchased six private performances of Mainstage shows at Asheville Community Theatre. Tickets for those performances are then donated to non-profits to support their fundraising efforts. Selected non-profit organizations will be given the opportunity to participate in a designated private performance during the 2010-11 year. The organizations will be given tickets to sell and will realize 100% of the income from these sales. According to Susan Harper, Managing Director of Asheville Community Theatre, “The beauty of this program is that while Charlotte Street Computers provides significant financial support to Asheville Community Theatre by purchasing private performances, that support is then leveraged to raise funds for other organizations. By donating tickets to the other non-profits, CSC is able to support other many other groups in their efforts to raise funds. The potential income over the period of a year is just under $50,000.” “Jennifer and Greg Mayer – owners of Charlotte Street Computers – believe passionately in supporting the community and in addition to this philanthropic effort, serve on boards and committees that help make Asheville a better place to live,” said Harper. “We greatly appreciate their support of ACT and others.” The opportunity to participate is based on an application process.
