The City of Asheville’s Development Services Center will introduce an enhanced customer service option for contractors and developers requesting water availability. Beginning Monday, March 15, all water availability requests will be processed at the Development Service Center located at 161 S. Charlotte Street. The relocation of this service provides contractors and developers with one location for all development processes within the City of Asheville. Home owners changing water service and existing service requests will continue to be processed on the first floor of City Hall in Water Resources Customer Service or by calling (828) 251-1122. The relocation of the water availability function will allow contractors and permit applicants the ability to monitor approval through the eGov portal located on the City’s website at www.ashevillenc.gov.
